Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Package Refurbishment & Upgrades (PRU) Controls Design Engineer in Mabank, Texas. The role focuses on designing turbine and driven equipment control systems and upgrades, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You'll work with cross-functional teams across engineering, project management, PSO, and production, developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HMI software while supporting field personnel through commissioning and tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Experience with control systems (PLC5, RSLogix) and HMI software.

Responsibilities

• Interface with project teams to define scope and ensure timely delivery.
• Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HMI software.
• Support project management, manufacturing, testing, and field commissioning.
