Job summary

Apple’s Data Center Operations team is looking for engineers who take ownership of services in critical environments. You will work on systems that support customer services and ensure reliability across devices and facilities.

This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for mechanical, electrical, server, and virtual components. The ideal candidate has a strong background in control systems, VM concepts, and hands-on experience with engineering software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience with control system software and tools (PLC, Siemens, JCI, Schneider).
• Solid understanding of virtual machine (VM) concepts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent vocational achievements and practical experience.


• 5+ years of experience with control system software and tools, such as PLC, Siemens, JCI, or Schneider.


• Solid understanding of virtual machine (VM) concepts.


• Ability to manage and optimize control systems for mechanical, electrical, server, and virtual components

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.


• 7+ years of hands‑on field experience


• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems.


• Experience leading or participating in projects that involve upgrading or enhancing control systems.


• Advanced proficiency in engineering software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit.


• Comprehensive understanding of control system design principles, including system architecture, component integration, and lifecycle management.


• Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
