Job summary

Textron’s Lavonia, GA facility is hiring for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician on the third shift. You will lead hands-on maintenance, troubleshoot automation, and optimize production equipment to meet quality and cycle-time targets.

Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree or apprenticeship and several years of experience in controls, automation, or plastics technology. The role is on-site with full-time hours and a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or two-year technical degree, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 3 years in manufacturing; experience in controls/automation or plastics/process tech preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and process documentation.
• Experience with PLC/HMI troubleshooting; Siemens PLC a plus.
• Robotics experience preferred; FANUC programming a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technicians across shifts and areas.
• Review work orders and priorities; assign tasks.
• Coach technicians on performance and standard work.
• Provide troubleshooting and optimization for production equipment.
• Coordinate rapid response to breakdowns to safely restore production.
• Support automation systems installation and integration.
• Ensure maintenance records and documentation are completed.
