Hargrove seeks an engineering intern in Houston to support chemical, electrical, or computer engineering projects by assisting with automation and controls design and by developing preliminary designs as opportunities arise. The role is performed under direct supervision with a close team.
Ideal candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree, maintain a 2.7+ GPA, and demonstrate strong time management, organization, and communication skills while learning and applying design standards.
Job Scope: Generally responsible for performing increasingly complex engineering assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. Assignments may be extremely varied and diverse in nature and may include assisting with automation and controls engineering and DCS, PLC, and HMI systems development, depending on project availability. Opportunities may be available for on-site support. This work will be performed under direct supervision and in a close group of teammates.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master program of Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering program at an accredited university is required. GPA: 2.7 or above
