Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Controls Applications Engineer to estimate and quote controls projects, design panels, and program PLCs across multiple opportunities. The role involves working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver integrated, cost-effective solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of controls experience, strong PLC programming and AutoCAD skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and lead project activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience; PLC programming, panel design, hands-on and mechanical capabilities; controls project managing experience.
• Extremely computer literate with MS Office products.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Experience with machine control electrical design, programming and troubleshooting.
• Ignition SCADA experience preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and quote projects meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Produce highly accurate cost estimates.
• Support engineering sales with clients through integration experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams on overall project deliverables.
• Establish relationships with supplier products and services.
• Develop new controls techniques and equipment to maintain leadership.
• Lead cost engineering for controls opportunities.
