We are searching for bar-raising professionals who consistently exceed expectations, thrive in challenging workplaces, and actively contribute to our talented team. The global accounting organization supports our Retail lines of business.

The Stores Controls Team drives internal controls over financial reporting, subsidiary compliance, internal controls readiness, process improvements, and other compliance activities. We are subject matter experts consulting with control owners across our processes. Responsibilities include enhancing and leveraging internal and external partnerships to deliver on the annual controls plan. This role requires a deep understanding and experience with all aspects of internal controls, including financial information technology systems for a complex, high-growth, multi-disciplinary organization.

Requirements include a deep knowledge of the COSO 2013 framework and SEC/PCAOB regulations, along with the demonstrated ability to design and monitor an effective global risk-based internal control environment.

Ideal candidates have held similar positions in large public companies or within the advisory practice of a Big 4 public accounting firm serving Fortune 500 clients for 3+ years. Demonstrated collaboration and top performance at their level are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing controls strategies, including ITGC and ITAC.
  • Driving control design and implementation with engineering and business teams.
  • Conducting deep dives on process areas to define risks and controls related to financial reporting.
  • Advising on and designing controls and compliance programs.
  • Providing ongoing support to process and control owners and cross-functional teams to ensure effective control design and implementation.
  • Participating in annual walkthroughs with process, application, and control owners, as well as external auditors.
  • Evaluating control deficiencies and monitoring remediation efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience defining program requirements and leveraging data and metrics for improvements.
  • Professional auditing or risk/compliance credentials.
  • Experience with SQL and Excel.
