Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Controller to join our team and serve as a financial leader and strategic advisor for our clients. In this fully remote role, based out of Dallas, you will work directly with clients across various industries to ensure financial accuracy, process efficiency, and scalable accounting practices. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a collaborative, client-facing environment and wants to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary financial contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of clients.
Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Oversee client accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.
Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting systems tailored to each client’s needs.
Partner with client leadership to support strategic decisions with financial data and insight.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Stay up to date on GAAP, regulatory changes, and accounting technology tools (especially QuickBooks).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA Required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a Controller or client-facing advisory role.
Strong QuickBooks knowledge (QBO and Desktop); QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while being a proactive team player.
Must reside in or around Dallas, TX for occasional local client meetings or team events.
