Job Description

The Controller will assist in preparing statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines. This role is responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems.

1. Own the financial close across the business and its entities
2. Balance sheet reconciliations across the business and its entities
3. Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
5. Manage journal entries, invoices, etc., and reconcile accounts for monthly or annual closings
6. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
7. Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
8. Oversee the production of periodic financial reports and ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
9. Assist in the annual budget and forecast process and report significant budget differences to management
10. Provide financial analysis on various areas
11. Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant accounting field
• 1+ years of experience leading people/processes to achieve business goals
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting

Bonus Points

• Proficient in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and/or public accounting experience
