Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader delivering outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a dedicated Controller to guide multiple nonprofit clients, interact with boards and committees, and provide transformative accounting services to ensure client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• 5–7+ years accounting experience.
• Remote environment experience preferred.
• Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Part-time/full-time hours align with a 35-hour work week for full-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients.
• Provide financial reporting to management and Board for decision making and presentations.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures.
• Handle transactional activities: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and workpapers.
• Analyze data and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage grant reporting, allocations, and funder reporting.
• Prepare for and manage annual audits.
• Offer client and staff training opportunities.

Responsibilities

Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients. Your responsibilities would include:

• Transforming nonprofitclientfinancial departmentstohelp themmeettheir mission!
• Financialreporting formanagement andBoarddecisionmakingand presentations
• Recommendingandimplementingimprovements toaccounting, operations, internal controls,andcompliancepolicies andprocedures,supportingclient strategyand best practices
• Transactionalactivitiesincluding accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing),andpayroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close,andmaintainingworkpapers

Qualifications

• Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7plusyears accounting experience
• Experience working in a remote environment preferred
• Ability to manageand leadmultiple clients, work independently,and be responsiveon a timely basis
• Demonstrated strongMicrosoftExcel skills
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, andelectronic bill paysystems
• Non-profitaccounting,publicaccounting experience, and/or consulting experienceisa plusbut not required
• CPA certification is a plus
• Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus

Starting annual base salary is $100,000 to $125,000 based on a 35-hour work week for this non-exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis. Please note that the base salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors as determined by Your Part-Time Controller, LLC, which may include, but is not limited to, education, skill, experience, licensure and certifications, internal salary ranges, geographical location, and other business needs.
