Controller for Nonprofit Organizations
YPTC’s Phoenix market includes all of Arizona and New Mexico, with the highest concentration of staff and clients located in Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, and Maricopa County.
Your Part‑Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in providing outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a talented controller to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the outsourced controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients.
- Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.
- Financial reporting for management and board decision‑making and presentations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices.
- Transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintaining workpapers.
- Analysis, data visualization, budgeting and forecasting.
- Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
- Prepare for and manage annual audit.
- Client and staff training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Passionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- 5–7+ years accounting experience.
- Experience working in a remote environment preferred.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.
- Non‑profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Part‑time employees are expected to work during normal business hours.

Starting annual base salary is $100,000 to $125,000 based on a 35‑hour work week. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis.
