Job Description

The Controller will lead the accounting functions necessary for 340B Pharmacy and related service offerings such as Distribution Models. Responsibilities include:

• Accounting, Reporting & Financial Analysis
• Revenue & Cost Accounting & Reimbursement Reserve Analysis and Documentation
• Internal Control, Forecast and Budgeting
• Cash Management, Financial Information Systems, Financial Compliance
• Coordination with External Auditors

Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership to staff, establish goals, and oversee projects and initiatives.
2. Manage staff productivity, staffing levels, and costs.
3. Recruit, interview, hire, and orient new staff; develop ongoing training programs.
4. Manage financial services supporting division operations, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, supporting records, and timely financial reporting.
5. Coordinate income statement functions, financial analysis, and internal/external audits.
6. Oversee revenue accounting, including monthly revenue & discounts, reserve analysis, billing, and audit processes.
7. Manage cash collections, deposits, and reconciliation.
8. Oversee accounting for 340B pharmacy, including budget support, invoicing, expenses, internal controls, and reserves.
9. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including pharmacy management.
10. Implement and monitor internal control systems, policies, and procedures, and perform follow-up audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• Seven years of accounting/financial experience, with at least three in a leadership role in a fast-growing retail, specialty, or infusion pharmacy environment.
• Minimum of two years management experience with finance staff; Big Four audit experience preferred.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and system-thinking skills.

Additional Information

This is a non-bargaining unit position at Mount Sinai Hospital, with a salary range of $115,494 - $173,241 annually, depending on experience and education.
