Venture Global LNG seeks a Material Controller to manage the flow of materials from offsite storage to the Cameron site using SiteSense. This contract role requires coordinating with procurement, warehouse, and contractors to ensure timely sourcing and accurate material handling.

The position emphasizes inventory control, records maintenance, and resolving material discrepancies to support uninterrupted construction and on-time invoicing.

Competenze

• Minimum 6 years industrial construction experience on large scale major capital projects (power/LNG preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Experience with IWP tools and software such as O3.
• Strong understanding of inventory control processes and supply chain operations.
• Experience working at a construction site in a supply chain related role.
• Experience with material management tracking software / RFID technology.

Summary

The Material Controller is a key member of the CP2 Material Management team. The position will be responsible for managing control and flow of material from the offsite storage locations to the site using SiteSense.

This is a contract position located in Cameron, LA.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the project supply chain flows into the site.
• Serve as a point of contact for material control issues on site.
• Forecast and schedule material deliveries based on project timelines with field logistics team and end users.
• Proactively Track field procured receiving to expedite MRR’s/OSD’s to support on time invoicing
• Maintain detailed records of material transactions, usage, and approval history.
• Review material requests from contractors against the IWP bill of materials and drawings/ISO’s to ensure material requests are correct for the scope of work.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between requested, issued, and received materials.
• Assess material availability based on stock levels, lead times, and delivery schedules to support uninterrupted construction.
• Maintain accurate records of materials in SiteSense, material management software.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse teams, and contractors to ensure timely sourcing, delivery, and issuance of materials.
• Collaborate with contractors, and Commissioning Teams to understand material specifications and urgency.
• Support audits and reporting by providing traceable documentation of material requests and approvals.
• Build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Assist with disposition of unused items at the end of construction phase such as handover to operating unit, preparation for sale/auction, and scrapping.
• Monitor amount of onsite material/IWP in storage and staging areas to prevent overloading.

Qualifications

Required experience

• Minimum 6 years industrial construction experience on large scale major capital projects. Power generation and LNG plant construction are preferred.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Extensive experience with IWP tools and software such as O3.
• Solid understanding of inventory control processes and supply chain operations
• Experience working at a construction site in a supply chain related role.
• Experienced user of material management tracking software/RFID technology
• Firm understanding of advance work packaging and material allocations.

Licensing & Certifications

• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) card in good status.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.
