Job summary

The Recreational Group in Dalton, GA is seeking a Controller for the Local Distribution Division. You will work with the SVP of Finance, Corporate Controller, and division President to deliver timely, accurate reporting and drive financial performance for the retail division.

Your duties include owning the month-end close, preparing projections and board reports, developing the division budget, performing variance analysis, maintaining financial processes, calculating commissions, and mentoring

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, supervisory preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software.

Responsibilities

Own the month-end close for the Local Distribution division.
Prepare projections, forecasts, and board reports; support leadership with planning.
Develop the division budget and perform variance analysis.
Maintain financial processes and reconcile GL accounts.
Calculate commissions for division employees and support store conversions.
Mentor staff accountant and oversee journal entries and reconciliations.
Provide accurate reporting of financials and drive performance improvements.
