Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial operations for a well-established law firm with a strong reputation and stable leadership
• Oversee the firm's general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting, and month-end close processes
• Partner with firm leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that support strategic decision-making
• Supervise payroll operations and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and employment regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and streamline financial workflows
• Collaborate with attorneys and firm leadership to provide meaningful financial reporting and support long-term business objectives
• Join a collaborative leadership team where your expertise will directly influence the firm's continued success

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience, preferably within a law firm or other professional services environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger management, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Experience overseeing month-end and year-end close processes
• Knowledge of law firm accounting, including trust accounting and partner compensation, is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes, implement efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to firm leadership
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• Collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing accounting staff
