Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build internal controls for a pre-IPO hi-tech manufacturing company.
• Streamline and document accounting processes.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on accounting and compliance items.
• Work in NetSuite, streamlining and building the close and control process.
• Inform accounting staff of current processes and upcoming changes.
• Review current R&D manufacturing process and build base controls for launch.
• Have strong knowledge of Inventory, COGS, WIP, and cost bases.

Job Title: Controller "Internal Controls"

Location: Burlington, MA Area

Compensation: $80- $150 per hour

Overview

Massachusetts manufacturing company is looking for a consultant who has developed internal controls and is coming out of a manufacturing environment. This is a 6-plus-month consulting opportunity. The company is a pre-revenue, private equity- and strategic-backed entity preparing for an IPO and operating in an R&D phase with a small internal team. We are seeking a hands-on Controller-level professional, hands-on consultant, ideally with NetSuite, public company, and manufacturing/controls experience

Responsibilities:

• Build Internal Controls for a Pre IPO Hi-Tech manufacturing company
• Streamline and document accounting processes
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (Accounting and Advisory firms ) on accounting and Compliance items
• Work in NetSuite, streamlining and building the close and control process.
• Communicate with Accounting staff on what the current process is and inform them of changes that will be coming.
• Review the current R&D manufacturing process and build out base controls for when they launch the manufacturing process.
• Have strong knowledge of Inventory, COGS, WIP, and Cost to set the baseline for the manufacturing process

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA preferred
• 7 plus years of experience inmanufacturing and accounting experience
• 7 plus years of experience with closing and financial statements
• Strong experience with internal controls and SOX complianceexperience
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
