Job summary

AcctPositions in White Plains, NY seeks an experienced Controller for an onsite fractional engagement. The role focuses on ASC 606 revenue recognition and transitioning the organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting.

You will assess the current environment, implement improved processes, troubleshoot issues, and help establish a strong foundation for the accounting function. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior-level accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Experience transitioning from cash-basis to accrual accounting preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong accounting troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully onsite environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Schedule: Part-time / Fractional - 15-20 hours per week

Work Arrangement: Must be able to work onsite in White Plains, NY

We are seeking an experienced Controller for an onsite fractional engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition, and hands-on experience transitioning an organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who can assess the existing accounting environment, implement improved processes, troubleshoot accounting issues, and help establish a strong foundation for the accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Help transition the organization from cash-basis to accrual accounting
• Evaluate existing revenue recognition and accounting processes
• Develop and implement accounting procedures, controls, and reconciliations
• Troubleshoot accounting issues and provide practical solutions
• Work directly within Intuit Enterprise Suite / QuickBooks Online
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting schedules
• Identify gaps in existing accounting processes and recommend improvements
• Ensure revenue and related transactions are properly recorded and reported
