Zanda is partnering with a Series B Fintech company that is dedicated to revolutionizing business banking platforms with the utilization of crypto and blockchain.

Your responsibilities as a Controller include:

• Lead all aspects of the company's accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports to provide insights to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize efficiency in financial operations.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.
• Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Support strategic initiatives and special projects by providing financial insights and analysis to facilitate decision-making.

If you have the following experience, we would love to hear from you:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment, preferably within the fintech sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Expertise in technical accounting related to banking and/or credit card industries is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Previous experience in Treasury operations is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring finance professionals.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
