Who’s the business:

Zanda is partnering with a Series B fintech company dedicated to revolutionizing business banking platforms through the utilization of crypto and blockchain technology.

Your responsibilities as a Controller include:

1. Lead all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial reports.
3. Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
4. Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analyses, and other reports to provide insights to management and stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and optimize financial operations.
6. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers.
7. Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering continuous learning and growth.
8. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
9. Support strategic initiatives and special projects by providing financial insights and analysis for decision-making.

Ideal candidate profile:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
2. At least 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 3+ years in a managerial role.
3. Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, preferably within fintech.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
5. Experience with banking or credit card industry accounting is highly desirable.
6. Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide actionable insights.
7. Experience with treasury operations is a plus.
8. Proven leadership and team development skills.
9. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.
