Job summary

A leading healthcare technology firm in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Interim Controller Consultant to manage accounting functions and prepare for financial audits. This role requires 10+ years of experience in operational accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment, along with strong systems knowledge and communication skills. The position is on-site for 4-5 months and provides competitive compensation as well as benefits, including bonuses and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including start-up exposure.
• Proven operational accounting expertise and experience leading audits.
• Strong systems knowledge and experience in process implementation.

Controller Consultant

Our client, a healthcare technology company, is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to help bring accounting functions in-house and prepare for a financial audit. This position is 100% on-site at the client's San Francisco office and has an expected duration of 4-5 months.

Responsibilities

• Partner with outsourced bookkeepers to complete the company's first audit.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including month-end close, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Develop and implement initial processes and internal controls.
• Oversee timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Provide inputs for executive management reporting, including board and investor presentations.
• Support ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including start-up exposure.
• Proven operational accounting expertise and experience leading audits.
