Job summary

Bowers Accountants & Advisors, Powered by CURRENT! in Ithaca, New York, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team.

You will provide senior-level accounting services, including processing payables and receivables, and support for multiple client accounts. As part of our CAAS group, you will supervise staff, ensure accurate transaction processing, and participate in monthly closes and budgeting; you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage responsibilities of assigned CAAS transactional staff
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all transaction processing performed by CAAS transaction staff
• Perform monthly accounting reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts for assigned clients
• Manage month-end close for assigned clients
• Assist with development of financial budgets
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting and assist in proposals for CAAS services

Education

Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) offers outsourced accounting services, including full-service CFO Advisory Services; controller, bookkeeping, vendor bill processing and payment, customer invoicing, payroll processing and tax reporting, and sales tax preparation. In this role, you will be a member of our CAAS group accountable for providing Senior Accountant-level accounting services, including processing payables and receivables, and various other accounting operations for assigned clients.

Salary:

$80,000.00 - $100,000 DOE
