Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery, partnering with a multinational manufacturing company in the Greater Springfield–Branson, MO area, is seeking a Plant Controller. This on-site role supports financial operations for a major manufacturing facility, working closely with plant leadership and corporate finance to drive performance and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will oversee reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and internal controls, while translating financial results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Manufacturing/cost accounting experience preferred.
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant financial reporting, month-end close, and financial statement accuracy.
• Analyze financial results and provide explanations of variances and drivers.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for the plant.
• Partner with plant leadership on cost improvement initiatives and operational performance.
• Support capital investments and provide financial analysis for major decisions.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Collaborate with corporate finance on reporting, planning, and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and plant performance.

Salary Goals:

$130k-$140k (DOE) + bonus

About the Role:

I’m partnering with a growing manufacturing organization on a key Plant Controller opportunity supporting the financial operations of a major manufacturing facility.

This is a high-impact plant finance role partnering closely with plant leadership and corporate finance to drive financial performance, improve operational efficiency, and provide clear insight into the business. The Controller will have significant visibility into plant operations and play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and strategic decision-making.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Oversee plant financial reporting, month-end close, and financial statement accuracy
• Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations of key variances and operational drivers
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for the plant
• Partner with plant leadership on cost improvement initiatives and operational performance
• Support capital investments and provide financial analysis for major business decisions
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies
• Collaborate with corporate finance and accounting teams on reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and overall plant performance

Ideal background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience
• Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
• Ability to partner effectively with plant and operational leadership
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial results into actionable business insights
