Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced finance leader in Scottsdale to oversee all accounting and finance operations, lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will develop KPIs and reporting for ownership and partner with leadership on strategic decisions.

The role covers job costing, payroll, internal controls, and tax support, with a focus on construction/project accounting and ERP system optimization in a hands-on leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience managing accounting operations in a project-based environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial technology platforms.

Compensation: $140k - $180k + 10 -15% annual bonus + 2 weeks PTO + 401k with company matching

Overview

• Lead all accounting and finance operations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Develop KPIs and reporting packages for ownership.
• Partner with leadership on strategic business decisions.

Construction & Project Accounting

• Oversee job costing and project accounting.
• Manage prevailing wage compliance and certified payroll requirements.
• Coordinate bonding requests and related reporting.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition and project financial controls.
• Understand project risk management and construction-specific accounting practices.

Accounting Operations

• Oversee AP, AR, payroll administration, and general accounting functions.
• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closes.
• Maintain internal controls and financial policies.
• Lead audit preparation and tax support activities.
• Manage relationships with external CPA and tax advisors.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Serve as finance lead for Viewpoint Vista ERP.
• Improve accounting workflow efficiency and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with external technology consultants as needed.
• Support implementation and oversight of outsourced service providers.

Leadership & Team Development

• Help design and build the future accounting organization.
• Develop staffing plans aligned with company growth objectives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting personnel.
• Foster collaboration across operations, project management, HR, and executive leadership.

Qualifications:

Required Qualification's

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience managing accounting operations in a project-based environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial technology platforms.
• Ability to operate independently in a hands-on leadership role.

Preferred Qualification's

• Construction, steel fabrication, manufacturing, or related industry experience.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP.
