Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controller for a leading commercial construction company in Placentia, CA. This on-site, permanent role supports finance leadership, oversees owner billings, project costs, and compliance, and collaborates with project teams to ensure accurate reporting and cash flow.

We offer competitive compensation from $140,000 to $180,000 per year plus medical, dental, and vision, 401(k) with employer matching, PTO, quarterly profit sharing, and company shares.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate preparation of owner billings and supporting documents.
• Collection of payments and responsibility for certain subcontractor compliance such as prevailing wage.
• Proactive, reporting accuracy of project billing and cost transactions, review of estimates and budgets including adjustments to projects.
• Ownership and review of project financial data with project teams.
• Set-up, review, and maintenance of labor rates and other project data.

Job Details

• Timely and accurate preparation of owner billings and supporting documents, collection of payments, and responsibility for certain subcontractor compliance such as prevailing wage
• Proactive, reporting accuracy of project billing and cost transactions, review of estimates and budgets including adjustments to projects
• Ownership and review of project financial data with project teams
• Supply and analyze financial data, providing insights about topics such as cost accruals, over/underbilling position, project cash position and receivables.
• Set-up, review, and maintenance of labor rates and other project data.
