Job summary

On Location is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a growing company. This role combines day-to-day operations with leadership, financial insight, and process improvements across the organization.

The ideal candidate will supervise accounting activities, drive month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with executives on budgeting and profitability analyses. A strong job costing background in project-based industries is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Must be a hands-on accounting leader who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves and work in the details when needed.
  • Strong job costing experience is required, preferably within project-based, construction, labor, event services, or related industries.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Position Summary

We are seeking ahands-on Controllerto lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a growing company. This is not a purely managerial role. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in day-to-day accounting operations while providing leadership, financial insight, and process improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) experience is a major plus.
  • Experience supporting multi-location operations.
  • Experience with ERP implementations, reporting tools, and process automation.
  • Knowledge of Union labor is a HUGE plus!
