Job summary

Energy Pipe & Supply, a regional PVF distributor serving the gulf coast, seeks a Controller to oversee daily financial operations and drive profitability across locations. You will partner with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to improve processes, manage inventory accuracy, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Some travel between locations will be required. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in operations leadership, strong ERP and Excel skills, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or supply chain related field.
• 5+ years of operations management experience in wholesale distribution, manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation, and process improvement.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and multiple departments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with ERP systems, inventory software, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Controller is responsible for overseeing and improving the daily financial operations of the company to ensure efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business financial operations, ensuring efficient execution of company processes and procedures.
• Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer service.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Analyze business metrics and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to support company objectives.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor employee performance, staffing levels, and operational workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement projects and technology adoption to enhance business operations.
• Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Periodic travel between company locations, vendors, or customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation, and process improvement.
