ROTHENBERGER USA, Inc. in Loves Park, IL is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This hands-on role reports to the President/Managing Director and serves as the senior financial leader for U.S.

operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate in a small-company environment with international reporting requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10 years progressive accounting/finance experience with management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
• Experience coordinating external audits and tax-preparation activities.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accurate financial statements, general ledger activity, and reconciliations.
• Manage financial reporting requirements for the Group.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting, fixed assets, payables and receivables.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations at our Loves Park, Illinois location.

This position reports directly to the President / Managing Director and serves as the senior financial leader for our U.S. operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with leadership skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a small-company environment with international reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Planning

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the President / Managing Director.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance, profitability, working capital, and key performance indicators.
• Partner with ROTHENBERGER Group Finance on reporting, planning, and financial initiatives.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Ensure accurate financial statements, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and management reports.
• Manage financial reporting requirements for ROTHENBERGER Group.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reporting.

Cash Management & Internal Controls

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Oversee banking activities, payment controls, and cash-management processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls, including appropriate approvals and segregation of duties.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, applicable regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support tax reporting requirements.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounting team.
• Establish clear priorities, responsibilities, and review processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee financial processes and controls within SAGE 100.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Warehouse leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including management-level responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
• Experience coordinating external audits and tax-preparation activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong ERP experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, small-company environment.

Preferred

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Manufacturing or distribution industry experience.
• Experience with international parent-company reporting, intercompany transactions, or multinational organizations.
• Experience with SAGE 100.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $125,000–$145,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Additional Compensation: Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

Work Location
