Job summary

The Adecco Group is partnering with a manufacturing client to recruit a full-time Controller for the Grand Rapids area. The role leads accounting and financial reporting, drives month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while coordinating audits and compliance.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 6+ years leading accounting teams, CPA preferred, and experience with SAP/Sage in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience leading accounting/finance teams in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting activities
• Lead the month-end close process and ensure accurate financials
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasts
• Analyze financial performance and help leadership understand risks/opportunities
• Improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting
• Partner closely with plant and operations leadership on business decisions
• Lead and develop the accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of experiencce leading accounting/finance teams and operations
• CPA preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience a plus
• Experience with Sage & SAP
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. This client is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.
