Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an accomplished accounting leader to own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multi-entity operations in a cannabis-regulated environment. You will supervise cost accounting, implement GAAP standards, and drive audit coordination.

You will optimize Acumatica ERP, FP&A tooling, and internal controls while mentoring a global accounting team to ensure compliant financial reporting and tax positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory/management experience
• Strong technical GAAP foundation
• Demonstrated ownership of a full-cycle close
• Cost, manufacturing, and distribution accounting experience
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• ERP proficiency
• CPA preferred
• Cannabis or other highly regulated, multi-entity/multi-state industry experience preferred
• Familiarity with §280E and cannabis tax considerations preferred
• Experience with Acumatica and FP&A/consolidation tooling preferred

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities, including intercompany eliminations and consolidated reporting
• Supervise direct manufacturing cost accounting, absorption costing, inventory valuation, and standard/actual cost true-ups in a multi-facility production environment
• Apply and document GAAP for inventory, leases, revenue, stock compensation, and income taxes, including memos and SOPs
• Lead the annual financial statement audit and coordinate with external tax advisors
• Support cannabis-specific tax positions including §280E and §263A/UNICAP
• Ensure financial compliance with state cannabis regulators and senior lender reporting and covenant requirements
• Maintain and improve the Acumatica ERP and finance tools including Datarails and Ramp
• Design and enforce internal controls, workflows, and process documentation
• Manage, mentor, and develop the onshore and offshore accounting team
