Compensation
$220,000–$240,000 + bonus
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance functions with a hands-on approach.
- Manage the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
- Strengthen financial reporting and provide meaningful analysis to leadership.
- Oversee and improve cost accounting and job costing processes.
- Analyze inventory, costs, margins, profitability, and other key financial drivers.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and related financial analysis.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insight that supports operational and business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and overall efficiency.
- Utilize technology and automation to improve accounting and finance processes.
- Work cross-functionally with operational teams to improve financial visibility and accountability.
- Help develop scalable accounting processes and reporting to support the company’s continued growth.
Qualifications
- Strong progressive accounting experience with current or recent experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Finance Director, or similar accounting leadership role.
- Hands-on accounting background with the ability to manage the day-to-day while also providing strong financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and/or job costing.
- Experience working in an environment involving inventory, products, projects, or operational costing.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, distribution, or a similar industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and translate financial information into useful business insights.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and process improvement.
- Strong understanding of accounting controls and financial reporting best practices.
- Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial private company environment.
- CPA and prior public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems
