Job summary

Livengrin-Foundation seeks a Controller to lead the organization’s finance and accounting functions, directing analysis and reporting of financial information, budgeting and required filings. The role oversees the Finance Department operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and billing, and ensures strong internal controls.

The position works with leadership to establish accounting systems, policies, and procedures, and manages the annual audit and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Five years of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred.

• Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

Job Summary: The Controller is responsible for leading the organization's finance and accounting functions. The Controller directs all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, and required filings and reports.Responsibilities and Duties:Oversees the operations of the Finance Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and collection, and payroll.Works with leadership in the establishment, oversight, and maintenance of organization accounting systems, procedures, and policies.Implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.Oversees the production and dissemination of all financial reports.Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the organizations performance.Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.Oversees and monitors cash management.Presents findings and recommendations to management.Oversees the annual audit, collaborates with external auditors, and supplies all required information.Files quarterly and annual reports.Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Performs other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Responsible for staff performance, development, and retention.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.Handles corrective action and termination of staff in accordance with organization policy.Ensures staff receive the necessary training and support.Assures staff meet the requirements for licensure or certification.Ensures appropriate staffing and provides coverage if necessary.Conducts interviews and hires new staff.Oversees the daily workflow of the department.Confirms staff training compliance is met.Ensures proper and timely submission of timecards for payroll processing.Assesses staff and patient safety.Performs other related duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required.Five years of related experience required.Supervisory experience preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred.
