Job summary

IntePros is seeking an experienced Controls Technician in Walker, MI to join a leading medical device manufacturer. You will support and maintain the controls infrastructure of highly automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and production efficiency in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting PLCs, electrical systems, servo controls, HMIs, and automated equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs (Allen‑Bradley preferred), servo motors, drives, HMIs, sensors, industrial networks, and machine vision systems
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls‑related issues to minimize production downtime
• Inspect and maintain electrical control panels while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Support controls upgrades, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve manufacturing performance
• Document repairs, update schematics, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
