Job description
Overview

General Responsibility

The Control Systems Technician holds responsibility for the system and will support the operations and maintenance team with technical knowledge as well as perform preventive checks for ensuring system effectiveness. The Technician will also survey, maintain, and control all the IT HW/SW and control equipment including High-Level controls, Field-Bus, Host connections and all network connections. This position will work out of the Denver International Airport.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate, inspect, assess, maintain, repair, and refurbish all components within the BHS/ICS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Maintain and calibrate mechanical, electrical, and control test instruments.
  • Ensure full functionality of all mechanical and electrical components in the BHS/ICS.
  • Perform installations and inspections of system components.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with airport security clearance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BHS or automated material handling systems (IT and control level).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive and professional attitude with a commitment to safety and excellence.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance.
  • Shifts include flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and variable temperatures.
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout large airport facilities.

Pay rate: $35.77 per hour, Fringe rate: $8.93 per hour

Work schedule: Thursday - Saturday 4:00pm - 4:00am and Wednesday 10:00pm - 4:00am
