Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. We are seeking a Control Systems Team Lead. This person will provide team leadership, resource planning, project planning and budgeting in the Design, development, and enhancement of engine and aftertreatment systems to optimize products and system.
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Agriculture) or Computer Science curriculum.
Extensive Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
Working Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Working Knowledge of effective advisory methods and ability to provide valued information and advice to clients regarding products, technologies, services, and solutions for a specific technology domain.
Working Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Extensive Knowledge of embedded systems and their applications; ability to develop embedded systems with varying levels of complexity to control the operations of the machine it is embedded within.
