Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Newark, Delaware, seeks a Control Systems Engineer to lead design, integration, and commissioning for a magnet manufacturing facility. You will develop plant-wide control architectures for PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI, aligning with EPC standards and client needs.

Collaborating with process, mechanical, electrical, and safety teams, you will support FAT/SAT, startup, and ramp‑up, while emphasizing safety, reliability, and maintainability across the

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, control systems, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years' experience as a Control Systems Engineer on EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS platforms and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Define control system requirements across process, forming, coating, and finishing operations.
  • Specify PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI architectures and standards.
  • Develop I/O lists, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, and network designs.
  • Lead or support FATs, SATs, and on‑site commissioning activities.
