Job summary

HW3 is seeking a lead Control Systems Engineer to own projects from design through commissioning, focusing on Emerson DeltaV/DV SIS. You’ll drive safety-critical automation in oil & gas, chemical, and manufacturing settings.

You will lead design, programming, FAT/SAT, and startup activities, configure DeltaV systems, review panel designs, and troubleshoot live plants while collaborating closely with customers. Travel 1–4 hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior control systems engineer with plant environment experience.
• Experience with design, programming, FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Willingness to travel 1–4 hrs and lead end-to-end automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, programming, FAT/SAT, loop checks, and startup of DCS/PLC systems
• Configure and support Emerson DeltaV and DeltaV SIS
• Review and approve control panel and cabinet designs
• Troubleshoot live plant systems and support upgrades
• Work directly with customers on safe, reliable automation solutions
• Split time between engineering office work and on-site commissioning

If you’re a senior Control Systems Engineer who likes full project ownership from design and programming to commissioning, this role puts you in the driver’s seat.

Join a well‑established industrial automation firm working across oil & gas, chemical, and manufacturing. You’ll lead DCS/PLC automation projects and be the go‑to expert on Emerson DeltaV and DeltaV SIS.

What you’ll do:

Lead design, programming, FAT/SAT, loop checks, and startup of DCS/PLC systems
