Candidtalent is seeking a controls engineer to design control strategies, program ControlLogix and FactoryTalk, and commission systems on customer sites. You will start leading small project teams with senior engineers overseeing your work, increasing responsibility over time.
The role supports a hybrid or remote arrangement, with travel to customer sites as needed. A degree in electrical, chemical, or computer engineering or engineering technology is required, with Rockwell project experience
Cleveland, Ohio (hybrid or remote considered)
$90,000 to $130,000
Permanent, full time
A few years into a controls career you either get trusted with a project or you keep fixing someone else’s code at one plant. This is the former. You’d design the control strategy, program ControlLogix and FactoryTalk, design the panels and commission it all on the customer’s site.
You’d start leading small project teams, with good senior engineers above you to learn from.
The company is an independent automation integrator that has never made a layoff in over 35 years. Most of this team’s work is in chemicals and process, and they run DeltaV, Siemens and Ignition alongside Rockwell, so there’s room to pick up a second platform. Medical, dental, vision and your 401(k) all start on your first day, with no waiting period.
You’ll need two years or more of hands on Rockwell project work and a degree in electrical, chemical or computer engineering or engineering technology. You don’t need to be a lead already. DeltaV or Siemens PCS7 is a bonus.
Ohio is first choice, near Cleveland or Columbus. They’ll also look at someone working hybrid from one of their other offices (NC, TX, CA, MA, IL, IN) or remote with some travel for the right person.
