Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company is seeking a Control Systems Mechanic for its Longview, TX facility. The role covers maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, reading schematics, and performing PMs and calibrations to meet safety and process standards in a chemical processing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, analytical, and control devices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Ability to use tools and test equipment safely, including digital multimeters, insulation testers, calibrators, and other maintenance instruments.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, repair, adjust, overhaul, erect, install, assemble, fabricate and service general electrical and instrument equipment.
• Provide reliable, uninterrupted electrical energy supply to site facilities.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns that curtail production or create unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to scheduled PMs/calibrations and complete related tests and verifications.
