Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Control Room Operator in Camas, WA to monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and support client sites. The role emphasizes de-escalation, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Wage is $22.80 per hour with a full-time schedule (Thursday–Sunday 7am–7pm, every other Wednesday). We offer comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for growth within our security operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete GED within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior security experience required.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Monitor facility and security alarms, calls, and urgent situations within emergency response center.
• Dispatch fire, medical, and chemical emergency response teams as needed.
• Conduct patrols inside/outside the client’s premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to achieve site goals.

Control Room Operator — Full Time — Camas, WA

Wage: $22.80/HR

Available Schedule: Thursday - Sunday 7am-7pm (every other Wednesday)

We are seeking customer service driven individuals for security positions. We have a dedicated Region and Area Management Support Staff which will foster you through your growth and advancement in the company.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Monitor facility and security alarms, calls, and urgent situations within emergency response center.
• Dispatch fire, medical, and chemical emergency response teams as needed.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior security experience required.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
