Job summary

Keys Energy Center seeks a Control Room Operator to ensure safe, reliable operation of its 761MW natural gas-fired, combined-cycle unit. You will follow plant procedures and Senior Operations Supervisor directives, exercising judgment in the absence of specific instructions while upholding safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years operating Aeroderivative combustion turbines.
  • Experience with Siemens T3000 and Ovation control systems.
  • Engineering background (college or military training).
  • Strong technical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, handling confidential information discreetly.

  • Work rotating shifts, respond to 24/7 callouts, and perform physical tasks (standing, climbing, squatting).
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Job description

The Control Room Operator ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the 761MW natural gas-fired, combined-cycle Keys Energy Center. Following plant procedures and Senior Operations Supervisor directives, the operator exercises judgment in the absence of specific instructions, adhering to safety and environmental policies.

$45 - $50 an hour

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business. Candidates should be comfortable operating a vehicle as part of their job responsibilities and must meet any applicable company and insurance requirements.
