Job summary

Actalent seeks an Electrical Engineer for designing, developing, and implementing control panel solutions for a range of industrial applications. You will generate BOMs, create schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, and perform electrical calculations to ensure safe, cost-effective designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of control panel experience (5+ preferred), deep knowledge of NEC/UL standards, and hands-on CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of experience in control panel design; 5+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution, motor control, and drive packages.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control panel solutions for industrial applications.
• Create BOMs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Perform power and short-circuit calculations to ensure safe designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Support procurement with component selection and vendor evaluation.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEC, and UL standards.
