Motion is seeking a Service Technician II in Franklin, MA to repair, service, and build hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. Under supervision, you may guide less experienced technicians and contribute to service quality.

Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, diagnosis, parts prep, fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipment preparation. You will assist customers with technical questions, provide quotes, and support order entry and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years of shop experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on assigned customer products in the service shop.
  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect system components for repair.
  • Diagnose system components and recommend a solution to the customer.
  • Prepare job forms listing parts and works necessary to perform the repair.
  • Design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts and components.
  • Repair hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Assemble new and repaired equipment.
  • Test repaired equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or long-term storage.
  • Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the work to be done.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
  • Build customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.
  • Assist less experienced Service Technicians with addressing customer needs.

Due to experience & training, may handle more challenging inquires.* Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.* Assists less experienced Service Technicians with addressing customer needs.* Performs other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** * Typically requires a high school diploma or GED* Three (3) to five (5) years of shop experience or an equivalent combination. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES** * Ability to read hydraulic schematics.* Strong communication skills required.* Basic mechanical knowledge.* Ability to operate shop equipment safely.* Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** * Push/pull up to 100 pounds* Lift/carry up to 100 pounds* Lift bulky objects* Neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, reach and lift, ladder climb and carry, crawling.* Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.* Ability to work overtime and weekends. **COMPENSATION**$27.06 - $35.22 (hourly)
