Job summary

Sunsrce in Matthews, NC is seeking an Electrical Panel Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses for industrial equipment, following specifications and wiring standards.

This role requires reading wiring diagrams, using measuring tools, and performing wiring tasks with accuracy. Overtime may be required; regular hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience assembling electrical panels preferred.
  • Able to read control system wiring diagrams and English.
  • Read and interpret measurements; metric to standard; convert degrees to inches.
  • Proficient with measuring equipment and hand tools.
  • Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses for industrial equipment.
  • Fabricate controls per specifications, mounting components to back panels and wiring all parts.
  • Determine dimensions and layout of back panels and enclosures.
  • Mount components to back panels and enclosures.
  • Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
  • Point‑to‑point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot panels to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
  • Maintain red line drawing mark‑ups of changes; communicate changes to engineers or team leaders.
  • Work in a warehouse environment; full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; overtime may be required.

  • Fabricate controls according to specifications, including layout, physical mounting of components to the back panel, and wiring of all components.
  • Determine dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures.
  • Mount components to back panels and enclosures.
  • Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
  • Point‑to‑point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
  • Maintain red line drawing mark‑ups of changes required during fabrication.
  • Communicate red line changes to engineers or team leaders for revision prior to completion.
  • Work in a warehouse‑type environment; full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; overtime may be required as job duties demand.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience assembling electrical panels preferred.
  • Must be able to read control system wiring diagrams, read and write English, follow verbal instructions, use simple math, interpret documents, convert metric to standard measurements, and convert degrees to inches.
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, terminology, electrical schematics; proficient in the use of measuring equipment, levels, squares, and various hand tools.
  • Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
