Job summary

Uline, Connecticut Branch, is seeking a Control Mechanic to keep warehouse equipment running smoothly at our Plainfield facility in Connecticut.

Pay from $35 to $40 per hour with a $5,000 new-hire bonus. This on-site role provides career growth within a long-standing, stable family-owned company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse maintenance-related experience.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year to support projects across North America.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor warehouse automated conveyors and systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts.
• Work closely with Engineering, Warehouse Administration, Facilities and Operational teams to ensure equipment runs effectively.
• Assist with parts management, inspections, repairs and remote troubleshooting.
• Apply hands-on expertise across a range of material handling systems.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse maintenance-related experience.
• Ability to work independently, with a team and train others.
• Electrical and mechanical skills with experience in PC and / or PLC control packages.
• Willingness to travel 2 - 3 times per year to support projects at Uline branches across North America.
