Are you an experienced Automation Controls Engineer looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment? We have an exciting direct-hire opportunity in Albert Lea, MN, with a competitive salary based on experience (targeting up to $105K). If you’re passionate about PLC programming, automation, and electrical controls, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Do:

1. Design and develop electrical control systems and schematics
2. Program and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred)
3. Integrate and automate robotic systems
4. Work on custom automation projects with a range of clients, from small shops to major manufacturers
5. Collaborate across departments and with customers to ensure successful project execution
6. Minimal travel (approx. 4 times per year) to customer sites for debugging and setup

What We’re Looking For:

1. Experience with three-phase industrial electrical systems
2. Hands-on experience with wiring, panel building, and troubleshooting
3. Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Studio 5000 a plus)
4. No degree required—but a background in Electrical Engineering or similar is a bonus
5. SolidWorks Electrical experience is a plus
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
7. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
