The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas seeks a Control Clerk to staff the control desk, monitor site activity, cameras, radios, and phone systems while maintaining professional communication. The role may require assisting in other areas and monitoring the metal detector for contraband.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a background in background checks, TB/medical tests, and abuse registry checks.

• Pass checks for child/adult abuse registry.
• Must obtain ROP driver eligibility with valid license.

• Receive and dispense keys, radios, and restraints as necessary.

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay

$17.75 - $18.82 per hour based on education and experience.

What you will do

The Control Clerk works at the Control Desk, establishing it as a professional, responsive, and effective administrative unit to all who enter and exit the premises. In this position, you will monitor individuals leaving and coming to the site, monitor the cameras on all areas of the property, actively engage and monitor the radio system, as well as ensure communication is professional and efficient at all times. The Control Clerk also monitors the phone operating system, ensuring calls are directed to the correct party. The Control Clerk receives and dispenses personal keys, facility keys, radios, and mechanical restraints as necessary. This position may require assistance in other areas in the facility, as well as monitoring the metal detector for contraband.

To be considered you should

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
• Must be able to pass the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including have a valid Driver’s License

Schedule

5/2, 8-hour schedules currently looking for Tuesday - Saturday, 11PM to 7AM. Off Sunday/Monday
