Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Staff Attorney to support day-to-day transactional legal needs, focusing on client engagement letters, master services agreements, NDAs, data protection agreements, and other commercial contracts. You will advise principals and internal clients and manage contracts through the lifecycle from formation to termination.

The role requires a JD, at least three years' experience as a practicing attorney, and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • JD required to practice law.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in good standing.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a variety of contracts.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bar admission in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Review, advise, and negotiate legal matters related to client engagement letters and other commercial transactions.
  • Involved in contract lifecycle from formation to termination.
  • Counsel internal clients to minimize legal risk.
  • Improve and comply with GCO processes and templates.
  • Communicate with OGC team and other parties regarding progress.
  • Manage multiple contracts and projects in deadline-driven environment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
