Contracts Specialist (Remote US Midwest/West Coast)

Role Overview

As a Contracts Specialist, you will work at the intersection of law and business, handling diverse contracts and expanding your expertise daily. You will be part of a small, talented team, engaging in various contracts that offer opportunities for learning and growth. This role suits someone who enjoys analyzing details, solving problems, and streamlining processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Draft and Refine: Prepare, send, and negotiate contracts, updating language for clarity and relevance using tools like Salesforce and Ironclad.
  2. Negotiate and Collaborate: Partner with internal teams and customers to negotiate contract terms under the guidance of the Senior Director of Contract Operations.
  3. Problem Solve: Review red-lined agreements, resolve issues, and craft solutions with critical thinking, precision, and creativity.
  4. Represent the Company: Handle RFP responses, vendor forms, questionnaires, and document requests, coordinating with Finance and Compliance.
  5. Communicate Effectively: Provide recommendations, explain terms, and guide stakeholders confidently and clearly.
  6. Global Support & Time Zone Coverage: Support teammates across time zones by managing time-sensitive requests during absences or peak periods, ensuring business continuity.
  7. Deals Desk: Be trained to assist sales, finance, legal, and customer success teams, ensuring efficient deal progression from quote to close, and helping structure deals and review pricing and terms.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience with sales contracts, business agreements, or similar roles requiring attention to detail.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Advanced professional-level English communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, critical thinking, judgment, and multitasking in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work independently, supporting global teams.
  • Experience creating and negotiating contracts.
  • Familiarity with Ironclad and Salesforce.
  • Remote work operations skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. contract law is a plus.
