What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Draft various contract modifications and memorandums for records based on communications and policy updates
- Review contractor deliverables requiring responses from the Contracting Officer (CO)
- Coordinate and apply review results from impact assessments into contract modifications or further discussions
- Support the development of Performance Evaluation Management Plans (PEMP) and provide draft performance evaluation input
- Facilitate bi-weekly meetings with CO and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and document meeting minutes

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (MBA, PhD, etc.) with a minimum of 15 years of contracting experience in acquisition support functions
- Expert knowledge of FAR, DEAR, and procurement and acquisition guidance
- Proven ability to navigate and research acquisition-related documents
- Strong critical thinking skills to achieve task objectives efficiently
- Experience in drafting contractual correspondence and revising procedures based on lessons learned

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Department of Energy (DOE) and Environmental Management (EM) processes
- Previous DOE contracting experience highly preferred
- Experience in supporting audits and assessments
- Background in program/project management support
