Job summary

Moog Inc in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Contracts Specialist to safeguard Moog's interests while enabling program execution. You will review terms, negotiate, and manage contract lifecycle to ensure compliance and risk mitigation across government and commercial work.

You'll collaborate with legal, engineering, and procurement teams, interpret FAR/DFARS/UCC where applicable, and support export controls, with travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with minimum 3 years in contracts, procurement, business, program administration, or related experience.
• Understanding of contract administration principles and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of contractual matters affecting programs and projects.
• Support preparation, review, negotiation, execution, modification, and administration of contracts and teaming agreements.
• Review contracts before award to ensure alignment with proposals and negotiated terms.
• Draft and review contractual documentation to protect Moog's interests.
• Consult with Group or Corporate Legal Counsel on contractual matters and risk mitigation.
• Interpret FAR/agency regulations and other contractual requirements.
• Support negotiations of contracts, modifications, and change orders with customers.
• Monitor performance, deliverables, obligations, and compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, business, and compliance risks.
• Maintain organized contract files and documentation.
• Support export compliance activities and obtain required licenses.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Contribute to process improvements and training within Contracts.
• Travel up to 10%.
