Job summary

Hatteras Capital Advisors in Midtown Manhattan seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration across a diverse portfolio of commercial and mixed-use developments. You will manage drafting, review, negotiation, and closeout, ensuring alignment with budgets, schedules, and risk policies.

You’ll partner with Development, Construction, Legal, and Finance teams to enforce standards, resolve disputes, track changes, and maintain logs and insurance documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of contract administration or management in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of AIA contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Experience with NYC and Northern New Jersey projects is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of contracts from drafting to closeout.
• Prepare and administer owner–contractor, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Manage consultant agreements with architects and engineers.
• Ensure contracts align with standards, budgets, schedules, and risk policies.
• Coordinate with internal legal counsel and external attorneys.
• Track changes, amendments, and change orders.
• Support project teams on contract interpretation and compliance.
• Maintain contract logs, insurance certificates, bonds, and compliance docs.
• Assist with dispute resolution, claims management, and negotiation support.
• Ensure adherence to NYC and NJ building requirements and labor laws.
• Collaborate with project managers during procurement and buyout.
• Support audits and reporting related to contracts.
